connect. explore. discover.
Welcome to Camp Rafiki
A premium values-driven safari camp where young minds grow through community, curiosity, and nature
About us
We're here to inspire personal growth and nurture young global citizens
At Camp Rafiki, we bridge fun with purpose, crafting unforgettable experiences that build confidence, emotional intelligence, and social responsibility
Through adventure, connection, and reflection, we help young people grow into resilient, self-aware, and compassionate leaders
I believe that growth thrives in safe spaces where young people connect meaningfully, explore freely, and discover deeply, about themselves, others, and the world around them
When children are seen, supported, and challenged through adventure, they begin to uncover who they are, and the kind of world they want to shape. That’s the heart of everything we do

Camp Management Structure
What does the camp fee include?
We operate with a no-hidden-fees policy. Your fee covers transport, accommodation (with all gear), full-board meals, park entry, all activities, first-response medical support, and a curated video and photo recap after camp
What is the staff-to-camper ratio?
We maintain a high level of supervision to ensure every child is seen, supported, and safe. Each group of 5 campers has a dedicated Camp Fellow. Every 3 Fellows report to a trained Supervisor, ensuring layered, attentive care
What is the boarding structure?
Campers sleep two per tent/room, grouped into Waridis (girls) and Morans (boys). Each community is supported by adult Supervisors who serve as chaperones. We ensure 24/7 supervision for safety, comfort, and wellbeing
Do you cater for dietary restrictions?
Yes. We work closely with our catering partners to ensure all meals accommodate allergies, religious or medical restrictions, and personal preferences. Please share your child’s needs during onboarding
How will I communicate with management or my child during camp?
Campers may bring phones and can connect with parents during designated off-program hours. To support full engagement, phones will be safely stored during program activities. Most of our camp locations have reliable network coverage, and parents can reach camp management directly at any time. In case of emergencies, we’ll contact the listed guardian promptly
What safety measures and emergency response systems are in place?
Safety is central to our operations. Our team includes outdoor specialists, mental wellness professionals, and ALS/BLS-trained paramedics as part of our onsite Rafiki First Response unit. All camps are held near accessible hospitals, and we collect key medical information during onboarding to ensure we’re fully prepared to support each camper’s health and wellbeing
Expert Teams Guiding Your Child
Camp Rafiki partners with a trusted network of professionals to ensure every child is supported in both heart and mind
Our psychosocial programming, delivered in collaboration with Games for Mental Health, is an expert-led in-house adaptation of an age-appropriate, research-backed wellness curriculum designed at Harvard
Outdoor adventures and activities are led by qualified specialists
For safety, we work with E-Plus Kenya to ensure 24/7 on-site medical support from trained first-response professionals
